Welcome
to THE BLACK MOON.
Our
Website originates from the city of Los Angeles, California
and promotes the understanding and appreciation of traditional
Japanese culture, art, and animation. The Black Moon is
based on a central and core philosophy, that actively
seeking cultural exchange is the best way to tear down
the walls of ignorance. As artists ourselves, we have
openly embraced the internet as the new medium for international
expression and unity.

We
launched the Black Moon website as an anime fan-site back in 1997,
and since that time have expanded it into the vast resource that
it is today. As our interest in Japan expanded from our initial
exposure points to encompass much larger aspects of Japanese culture,
such as food, language, and traditions, we enlarged the site to
include these new interests. It is our desire to continually grow
and maintain the site, to explore many issues that the international
English speaking audience might find enlightening, to showcase
Japanese-American culture both here in Los Angeles and across
the United States, and most importantly...
do it all with a flair for beauty and love of art. ~ The Black
